Little 11 day old Addison was such a great sleeper that we finished her newborn session in a record under 2 hours! She did such a great job…I love those lips! It was great to meet you girl.
This past weekend we took a short family trip to Jellystone Park to camp with our kids and our friends. Everyone had a fabulous time! This was our first time camping (in a tent & at a campground) and the kids did so great! I’m so glad that we decided to take the time away. I promised myself that I wouldn’t keep my phone with me during the trip (for my normal email/FB/message check), and I definitely enjoyed my time “unplugged.” Don’t get me wrong, we still had plenty of things to plug-in. At one point during the trip, after the sun went down and the fire was crackling, someone commented about how the golf carts (with their headlights) took a little away from the experience of camping. His wife answered, “I think we gave that up when we packed the Keurig and iHome.” 😉
Jellystone Parks are a great family friendly campground with lots of things for the kids. Mine would have been happy to spend all-day everyday at the waterslides and pool. When they weren’t in the pool, they also loved riding their bikes in front of our site. I was so relieved that all of my kids went to bed at a reasonable time (bedtime normally at home can get pretty miserable) and that meant lots of fun adult time after the kids were asleep! I am so blessed to have such great friends!
Finally, after four days, I was ready to be back at home. I couldn’t believe how dirty everything and everyone was!! I sent the kids straight to the tub while my hubby unloaded our jam-packed van. As I worked on the reorganizing the house and the unending loads of laundry, I praised God for my children, my husband, great friends, His creation, and my clean air-conditioned house. 🙂
Oh, FYI, since I was trying to truly be on a break from work, I decided not to take my SLR camera along. I have a video camera/point & shoot camera that I pulled out for about 10 minutes (total). So….enjoy….
Baby Bella came to visit and also brought her big brother (I’ve had several big brothers in the last few weeks) . He was not super happy with me for taking his photo, but he was very sweet with his sister. Little Bella did such a great job. Thank you for sharing her with me!
She is adorable! The pictures are amazing as usual!
We were so close to rescheduling Will’s senior session due to the weather, but luckily we decided to drive to the farm and wait and see what would happen. It turned out perfect – the grass looked extra green after the rain and the bit of cloud cover made a nice diffuser for the sun. Will is such a great kid with so much to look forward to….congratulations Will ;]
Amanda Brown - These photos are beautiful!! She is such a sweet baby 🙂
