There are lots of things that I love: diet coke, chocolate, taking photographs, crafting, going to the movies, shopping, ebay-ing (is that a verb?), and the list could go on. But at the top of my list are three wonderfully unique people that have all had a part of making me who I am today! (BTW, Jesus and my hubby are in the #1 and #2 positions, respectively, but this post is about my super sweet kiddos!)
This is my sweet love Kendall. She is so much like me it is scary. I seriously can’t believe she is almost five. She loves picking out her own clothes and has to have a headband with every outfit. She would sit all day with a spiral bound notebook and pencil, just drawing and writing her letters. She was so happy to hold this vintage camera for me….she loves modeling!
This is my Makenzie. Stubborn. Intense. Sometimes it overwhelms me. But she is SO passionate. And loving. She has been enamored with her baby brother since the day he was born. She would do anything for him. She makes me smile every night when I tuck her in, and she tells me that she loves me with ALL of her heart.
I absolutely love these photos of Chase. Seriously, this is how he looks all the time. He is such a happy baby. I came home the other night from being away from him, and if he could walk, he would have jumped out of daddy’s arms to meet me! He makes my heart burst in love. I have been so completely blessed with such a wonderful family. Thank you God for giving me so much more than I deserve!
Pittsburgh’s going to the SUPER BOWL!! Here in the Link household, we are all decked out in black and gold (and maybe a little pink, but what can I do.) I can remember cheering the Steelers to their win in 2006 with a #7 t-shirt stretched over my 6-month pregnant belly! And since the girls got to see a win themselves in 2009, hopefully Chase will get to see his first Super Bowl win today!!! Here we go……….!
This week I had to call about Kindergarten registration for my girls. KINDERGARTEN! I feel like it was just yesterday that my heart was ready to burst in anticipation of bringing them home from the NICU. My teeny 3 pound babies are going to school! I suddenly feel like I haven’t treasured these five years enough. And yet, they are ready. They cannot wait to go; to ride the bus, to get homework ;), to make new friends. They are SOOO excited. I hope and pray that it will be all that they dream it will be. I hope they never lose that joy. I just came across this photo of my sweet Kendall at the beach this fall. This girl dances EVERYWHERE she goes. Around the house. At the store. I hope she will always choose to dance.
