When was the last time you (moms) printed a photo with you and your kiddos?  I know as women, and especially mothers (who may or may not have lost their baby weight), we can be so self-concious of our appearance that we are denying our children the treasure of photographic memories – avoiding the camera, or just avoiding printing the photos that are taken of us.  It’s time to stop, and get in FRONT of the camera!!

Writing at The Huffington Post, Allison Tate discussed her aversion to cameras – and her resolve to get over it. One day, her five-year-old son asked her to hop in a photo booth with him and she hesitated. She hesitated because she was worried about the baby weight she was still sporting after giving birth to her youngest a few months earlier. She hesitated because she worried that her appearance wasn’t up to par. Then, she got over it and got in that photo booth – and we’re all glad she did because she’s helped teach all of us a valuable lesson. Our kids don’t care what we look like. To them, we’re beautiful simply because we’re their moms.  “I’m everywhere in their young lives, and yet I have very few pictures of me with them. Someday I won’t be here — and I don’t know if that someday is tomorrow or thirty or forty or fifty years from now — but I want them to have pictures of me. I want them to see the way I looked at them, see how much I loved them. I am not perfect to look at and I am not perfect to love, but I am perfectly their mother,” Tate wrote. {excerpts taken from The Today Show.}

THE FINE PRINT:

Sessions times slots will run every 1/2 hour in the late afternoon/evening on Saturday, May 31st.   The location will be a park in the Hollidaysburg/Altoona area TBA.  Each session will last approximately 20 minutes and will be very relaxed.  The session will be limited to mommy & her children only (no daddy’s in this session, except maybe to help entertain or elicit smiles!!)  A minimum of 5 final images will be presented in an online gallery as well as a flash drive with print release.  No additional purchases are required, but all professional products will be available.  The cost for the session is $150 (this is a $450 value!!!)
